What is a non-profit company?
A non-profit company is a legal corporation formed to carry out a charitable, educational, religious, literary or scientific purpose.  A non-profit can raise funds by receiving public and private grant money and contributions from individuals and companies.  The term ”non-profit” is a legal status and does not mean that a profit cannot be made by the organization to support its mission.
Clayton YES! is a non-profit organization and has a Board of Directors to make important policy decisions, and officers to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization.  The Board of Directors are volunteers and do not receive compensation for their work.  Non-profits do not have shareholders or owners.
What is the federal tax identification of Clayton YES!?
The federal tax ID number for Clayton YES! is 75-1485951.
What qualifications must center staff meet in order to care for children at a center?
Each Clayton YES! staff member must hold a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent, and complete 8 hours of pre-service training before beginning work at a center. In addition, each staff member must maintain certifications in both CPR and First Aid, as well as complete a minimum of 15 hours of training each year, exclusive of the pre-service training and successfully pass a background check and tuberculosis examination.
Will there be care at my child’s school during school holidays?
We will always be there for your child and your family. Although we may not always be at your child’s campus we will be located at conveniently placed campuses in your district. Written notice of those locations will be placed in your child’s Clayton YES! file and published on our website so you may choose the location that best fits your family’s needs.
Do I have to pay if my child doesn’t attend during holidays?
We understand holidays are a time for family and you may choose to travel or your child may be spending time with friends or relatives.  We want to accommodate the individual needs of our families whenever possible. During holiday breaks you register for the days you want and pay only if registered! Speak to your site manager about registration forms or contact your Client Services Representative.
My schedule at work changed; can my child attend only on specific days?
We are in business to serve your family and our community. If your schedule changes we can adjust your attendance plans to fit those needs. Just contact one of our Client Service Representatives or your child’s site manager to complete a quick form and alter your schedule as best fits your needs.
When will activity calendars be available so I can plan ahead for extended breaks?
Calendars for extended breaks such as spring and summer camps are available the month before the break. Speak with you site manager to receive your copy. Visit our website and follow the links to view available calendars. We also send out flyers with previews of the fun we have in store for your child while they are with us.
May I arrange for my child’s coach to pick them up once a week for sports practice or class after school?
As the parent of record you are entitled to designate any individual you choose as an authorized person to pick up your child. Be sure your site manager has been notified in writing of your intentions and that appropriate information on that individual is with your child’s enrollment file.
Can you care for a child with special needs?
Clayton YES! provides service regardless of special needs.  However, if your child has a medical or developmental situation, we want to ensure that the child is served in the best environment for that specific need.  Often Clayton YES! can accommodate special needs.  In rare cases, another setting may be more appropriate for the child.  We evaluate each case on its specific needs and work with the parent in trying to place the child in the appropriate setting. Our Program Coordinators are experienced professionals who are available to discuss how we might best serve you and your child’s needs.
Why won’t you accept payments at the school?
Our programs are designed to provide an enriching, educational, and fun experience for your child. With that in mind we feel it is in the best interests of the children to allow the teaching staff in our programs to focus on just that: Teaching. Our knowledgeable Client Services Representatives can assist with payments and and track them for your tax or flexible spending program requirements. They can also help you with arrangements for payment plans, as well as assist with special discounts or scholarships. They are trained and experienced in assisting with all aspects of the financing your child’s care.
Why is homework not a part of your program; I want my child to work on homework and to have the site manager check their work?
Your child has had a busy and very structured day when they arrive at Clayton YES! in the afternoon. We believe it is vital for children to have an opportunity for a healthy snack and physical activity before settling into homework or other activities.  An opportunity for those who choose to complete their homework is provided each afternoon after our outside period (materials such as pencils, paper, etc. are also provided).  Our staffing is designed for enrichment activities and do not have the time to review each child’s assignments daily.

Our mission is to provide quality programs during out-of-school time that meet the diverse needs of our communities' children, youth and families.
